thyroid gland operation

Many problems can be linked to the thyroid gland. Frequently all that is required is to rule out problems with the thyroid gland. On the other hand, there are a number of thyroid gland problems which present themselves with very few symptoms, and become noticeable only at a late stage when dysfunctions arise (e.g., Hashimoto's thyroiditis). As a special service, we offer to comment on previous diagnostic findings or blood tests.
Please feel free to approach us with any questions!

Our thyroid gland surgery comprises the following components, which we utilise as required for our patients

  • Clinical assessment
  • Sonography incl. CCDS
  • Scintigraphy
  • Blood tests
  • fine needle biopsy
  • therapy recommendations

Radioiodine Therapies with I-131, if indicated, are generally carried out in cooperation with the Nuclear Medicine University Hospital Cologne, one of the most modern nuclear medicine therapy centres in Europe. Therapies can certainly be carried out in other centres as well. .
